About us

“Lizsé” means grove – and that is no coincidence. City Park has been the heart of park life in Pest since the 19th century, with wine bars, ice-cream parlours and garden terraces. We brought that easy-going park feeling back to the lakeshore, opposite the Zoo: Lizsé fits both the park’s summer mood and modern urban street-food culture.

All year round

Lizsé is not a seasonal spot. In summer it turns into a huge terrace, and in the biggest heat we “winterise”: the glass walls slide shut and you can relax in the air-conditioned space.

On the menu

The stars are Tuning’s smash burgers and authentic Neapolitan pizzas baked to Digó’s recipe. Alongside them fresh salads and antipasti, the crowd-favourite oven-baked burrata in tomato sauce, and for dessert tiramisu served in a moka pot and the Lizsé affogato.

When to come

For lunch, an early dinner or an aperitivo – by the water, under the trees, on the edge of the ever-buzzing promenade.

    Long-fermented dough, wood-fired oven, Italian ingredients. Our Digó-style, authentic Neapolitan pizzas bring Italy to every bite – crispy on the outside, light and fresh on the inside, beautifully charred.

    Smashed burger – by Tuning

    The Lizsé burger is no ordinary burger. Ours is a smash burger: the patty is pressed flat on a hot grill and topped with sautéed onions right at the start of cooking. This creates a special, crispy, caramelised crust on the surface of the meat while the inside stays juicy. We then serve it with extra toppings, melted cheddar and our signature sauce in an extra-soft potato bun.

    One of Tuning’s burgers, the Rockefeller, won the “Burger of the Country” award – you can taste it here in its smash version.

    Salads

    The salads at Lizsé Városliget are light yet substantial: fresh rocket and cherry tomatoes with exciting pairings such as pear and walnut, or cantaloupe topped with prosciutto and parmesan. If you crave something truly creamy, choose the oven-baked burrata with San Marzano tomatoes and crispy pizza bread – and for fans of the classics there is caprese and tuna salad, also served with pizza bread.

    Desserts

    The desserts at Lizsé Városliget offer a sweet finish from classic favourites to modern free-from options: try the homemade “stovetop” tiramisu, or choose from traditional Hungarian pastries such as flódni, zserbó or apple pie. If you follow a special diet, you will find gluten- and sugar-free tiramisu, a gluten- and sugar-free chocolate bomb and a lactose-free Sacher slice, so nobody has to miss out on dessert.

    Drinks

    The drinks list at Lizsé Városliget has a favourite for every hour of the day: from classic coffees (ristretto, espresso, flat white, iced latte) through refreshing lemonades to homemade hot drinks. For something light, order a wine spritzer or pick from our sparkling options; in the evening, tune in with cocktails and mocktails (Aperol Spritz, Hugo, Mojito, gin & tonic variations). Beer lovers can choose between draught and bottled options, and spirit fans will find well-known brands – the perfect sip for every occasion.

Garden & sun deck · spring to autumn

On the lake side of the building, under the trees: from spring to autumn one of the most inviting spots in City Park. The gastro container serves a wide range of drinks and Tuning’s smash burgers to go – enjoy them at the garden tables or on the sun loungers by the water.

Event venue

At Lizsé Városliget we offer flexible event options for small and medium-sized gatherings: our 72 m² terrace seats 54 guests comfortably, while indoors there are 35 seats in a 40 m² space. It is an ideal venue for birthdays, corporate get-togethers, toasts with friends or relaxed, reception-style programmes – we help with the layout and put together a selection that suits the mood.
